Holly Blue Agate and Moonstone Serpent Necklace with Opals

Holly Blue agate is from Oregon, not far from where I live.  The land is locked down now because of timber and mining.  This perfect bluey purple can be pretty expensive because of this and rare.  I opted to polish but not shape this one, as I didn't want make it smaller in the grinding . Backed with sterling silver milled into a floral pattern and using sturdy prongs to showcase. 

Paired with a very flashy blue moonstone and accenting opals, this one of a kind necklace is sure to be a showstopper.  The snakes are pressed in-house from an antique die design first carved between 1880-1905 by a large jewelry house in Victorian times.   Something unique and beautiful on the front and back
